The club decided to run the raffle in memory of former member Kevin Durant who unfortunately passed away during 2003.
The prize on offer was a place on the Marketeers float at Weston Carnival.

The raffle provided the chance for a punter to play the swinging drum kit on the front of the float. The M.C.C. entry Rock 2003 is winning many prizes this year, and the swinging drum kit is seen as the pinnacle position on the float.

Initially £426 was raised in a very short period of time. The club made the difference up to the fine figure of £500.
The Marketeers would like to thank all those people who bought raffle tickets.

At the request of Mrs Christine Durant the money will go to the Bridgwater Red Cross. Christine additional added her thanks to all who helped towards this cause.

The winner of the raffle was Kelly from Cavaliers c.c. who gratefully declined the prize. Therefore the position on the float will be taken by Neil Price of the Masqueraders c.c.
The 3rd place in the raffle was won by Paul Brazewell ex president of the Marketeers c.c.

Update

At Points (after Weston Carnival) Marketeers had a spare Blow up Guitar witch was auctioned and was sold for £50 two more Blow up Guitar where then also sold for £50 Each.

Masqueraders CC also had a collection with in the Masqueraders that amounted to over £70.

A jug was also handed around (Thanks Gremlins)

The Total now Going to Bridgwater Red Cross is £836 .03
