Here is a review of our May 2003 Cabaret taken from the Bridgwater Mercury

It's a chart-busting success for Marketeers CC.
YOU want entertainment then you get regular visitor to the Marketeers Carnival Club presentations at Chilton Trinity School.

Chartbusters was their latest production and the audience was not disappointed with everyone rocking in their seats from start to finish. Terry Webster, from TV's Who Do You Do! Was a hoot and apart from his voice, which had an amazing range, he was incredibly funny and talented, with real comic timing some favourites of his for me were Barry White, Tom Jones, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Ronnie Corbett and Billy Connolly was brilliant.

The energy he put into every minute he was on stage quite was overpowering and he kept going all the time with hilarious plops and costumes etc.
There was a gifted supporting cast, including Kerry Wilson from TV's
Copy Cats, or was it Cilla Black, Tina Tuner or Cher? In fact we were Treated to three version Of Tina Tuner at the same time, including
Terry!
As usual the audience clapped along to the beat, laughed in all the right places and some even plucked up the courage to have a bop. I practically had to be strapped to my seat at one point to stop me grabbing the nearest person for a jive!

The Chartbuster Band provided the music under the direction of musical director Matt Stacey and they were all talented, particularly memorable was the Blues Brothers section, complete with hats and buck glasses.
It was an excellent mix of comedy and songs, which took me back to my youth club days in the 60s. And oh how I wish I'd kept those over the knee white plastic platform boots and that amazing geometric dress – ah memories!

The entertainers took us through many eras of music, including
Lazy Hazy Days of Summer of the Flower Power, Tamala Motown, the Commitments, Beatles, Rolling Stones to Elvis rattling our cage!
This was another great evening out with everyone going home thoroughly charged up and looking forward to the next comedy extravaganza from the Marketeers Carnival Club on
September 13
Don't forget to get your tickets early!
