After the successful shows of the last two years
this year we hoped to be in the running again but this was not to
be.
We are happy with this result as this year we had a new team running
the show and this is the first time we have been out of the top
4 since 1975 not a bad record when you think about it.
This year's stage show was based on a Chinese New Year and how
do you say Happy New Year in Chinese?

Marketeers did go to Shepton Mallet Carnival
Due to a faulty taper lock supplied to the club from the manufacturer,
this broke and caused a major electrical fault unfortunately this
fault made the cart unsafe to enter the carnival by the time the
fault was found the last club was 20 minuets down the road faced
with the fact that Marketeers could not take there cart round and
that the last cart had started 20 minuets early the club took the
decision to pull out of Shepton Mallet Carnival. The Marketeers
would like to apologies to Shepton Mallet Carnival Committee and
we will be back next year. Marketeers would also like to point out
that in our 42 year history this was the first time Marketeers have
ever had to pull out of a carnival.
