Marketeers Old Folks Shows

The Old Folk Show is a three nightly ‘mini carnival concerts’ held on the last full weekend in March. The OFS features entertainment from the local Bridgwater Clubs often performing 6-8minute show and skits as well as front of curtain acts to entertain the audience whilst the clubs are moving on and off of the stage.

This event is free of charge for all Old Age Pensioners in and around the town and tickets are distributed through the clubs themselves and local retirement homes. The ticket includes entry into a free raffle with various prizes donated from Bridgwater Pubs, Clubs, various individuals and of course Carnival Clubs.

The Old Folk Show is not judged and there are no prizes on offer. Because of this it is regarded as a more relaxed and humorous show compared to the Bridgwater Carnival Concerts.
